this list looks fishy to me
many artist isnt in the place they should be
and i dont just say that just because i like the artist but because i know other ppl like him .
for example Freq isnt one of my favorite acts but i thik he is much more popular then 6 place.
its looks like a self promotion to me.

i feel some explaining is in order
Hafirot 106FM is a weekly radio magazine. Each year we have our annual release of the year vote.
the vote is not open to public - it is done by what can be called "the industry" - DJs, artists and label managers . we ususally send personal vote requests to about 100 ppl (this year we also used our myspace.com page for it) and we got back 47 votes (3 points for best release, 2 points for 2nd and a point ford 3rd best). half of the voters are from Israel .
theres a degree of self promotion in the vote for sure. what to do? we asked ppl to be true to their taste. and we feel that the vote is indeed true to what really happend this year in trance music. all categories have very clear winners .
anlltough psyshop.com state that Streamline was released on week 49 of 2005 it was actually released in very early 2006. and most ppl got it as a 2006 release. furthermore - 4 ppl voted for it and 2 had it as their best full on compilation of the year. so what to do? its a great compilation and it deserves its high ranking.
the track of the year category... we got 25 votes for this one - not a single track was nominated twice...

Ben P dont count on that mate,unfortunately when it comes to voting some people realise polls as just another way to promote themselves and their friends.
When the Isratrance poll results will come up you will understand what i mean mate,i will either say some things in public so that the people will understand whats going on.

who need polls anyway. It's rarely a very accurate picture of the reality since it's usually a small group of people who participate.
Polls are as usless as Award shows.

Yeah this whole vote doesnt seem transparent. I personally dont see so many compact releases on top charts - infact every compact release this year is on these charts hehehe... Completely agree with Detox |
