Label: Hadshot Haheizar
Artist: V.A.
Title: electrO'punk
Format: CD/LP
Cat.Nr.: CD- Hadshcd034
LP- Hadshlp034
Release Date: May06

electrO'punk 2- Viva La Revolution supplies 11 highly explosive musical bombs, ready to detonate on any dancefloor. From the opening blast of Oliver Koletzkis eye opening hit "Der Mückenschwarm” (18 on DDC, favorite of Sven Väth), the unrelenting mood is set. The unstoppable British trio of Tim Healey, Pete "Slide" Martin and Anne Savage, aka Coburn vs. Dumb Blonde lay down their funk-filled "We Have the Technology" (hammered by Sasha & Timo Maas). Parisian superstars Black Strobe show their unmistakable gritty industrial take on electro with the colossal beats and club-shattering bass of "Deceive/Play". Also adding his prowess to the forces of revolution is another longtime French veteran of the dancefloor – Kiko – giving a rough old-school feel in the filthy "Good Sluts Factory Stuff". Italy's promising young upstarts, Sikk, make an appearance with their fabulously twisted debut "Washing Machine", one of the biggest successes of 2005, with support from the biggest players (Deep Dish, Satoshi Tomiie, Lee Burridge, Pete Tong, etc) as well as having fantastic chart success (4 on DDC). The relentless duo of Tiefschwarz also appears with 2 of their hugest tunes in recent years, their gargantuan remix to Freeform Five's "Electromagnetic", which graced the decks and topped the charts of every chief player as well as being featured on Sasha's heralded Fundaction CD, and their collaboration with Bristol's electro-punk crossover sensations Chinkinki, "Wait and See". Oliver "H-Man" Huntemann's slow groovin' instrumental piece "Femme Fatale" gives a feel harkening back to the early days of electro. ElectrO'punk 2 also gives an exclusive peek into what is sure to be one o the biggest hits of 2006, a brand new previously-unreleased Dirty South reworking of SPEKTRUM "Kinda New". Two of Hadshot's staple artists also lend their hand to the effort – Antichic & Popped! give a bit of grime with the vocal filth of "Friday Night" while Schatsi's atmospheric "Dead End" defies its title to provide a lively close to the CD.

With all 11 tracks making their first appearance on CD format with 3 previously unreleased to the public, electrO'punk is a valuable tool for any CD DJ wanting to have all of these dancefloor-shattering electro hits on a single disc. A 2xLP version will also be released, giving vinyl DJs the opportunity to have 6 of powerful electrO'punk highlights in their case.

Throw responsible listening out the window and ride with the revolution!

"Viva La Revolution!"

here is the explanation

first of all on every comp. there are some new and exclusive tracks

regarding the tracks which are already released... this is the first time they appear on an unmixed CD format

since in this Janere most of the stuff are being released only on 12" or MIXED CD - there is huge demand to receive those tracks on a CD format UNMIXED - so also DJs that don't use vinyl (like most of you on Isratrance) will be able to play them

this is the main purpose of those compilations! - and every time we release one - the sells are more than overwhelming justifying this reason

more than that - there is even demand to have those tracks on a 2x12" although some of them were released before - we are still not clear (how come) maybe the original label haven't printed enough
maybe having this 6 bombs on 2x12" is a well argument to buy the vinyl - what ever it is its functioning - we love to do it and the market demand it

but please don't be misled
Hadshot brings also new unreleased exclusive material on 12" on those comps and - upcoming is a CD with only unreleased exclusive stuff called HADSHCD035 V.A - based on a true story
