While Electrixx was born barely over a year ago, the minds behind the endeavor – Erikk (aka Tiefenrausch) and Stigma23 (aka Monolith aka Electronic Bitch) - are longtime studio veterans, racking up nearly 2 combined decades of experience. They wasted no time making their mark, with a remarkable number of releases in 2005 on notable labels such as IX-Recordings, Karate Klub and Dago Germany. Their most recent effort on Karate Music, the floor-filling "Frequenzstörung", was a massive global hit, appearing on all of the major underground music charts and becoming an essential record in the boxes of countless DJs. The talents of this duo are not limited to the studio, as they have formed a stellar reputation as one of Germany's leading live acts. Their no-nonsense performance has carried them to dancefloors all across Europe, as well as a highly coveted spot in the closing festivities of the world-renowned Tresor Club in Berlin.

With a resume as diverse as it is impressive, Monosurround has been one of Germany's most influential studio teams and live acts since the turn of the millennium. Since their inception in Berlin's hip Kreuzberg district in 1999, this duo has crafted a diverse range of works. Through movie soundtracks, elaborate 9-piece live stage performances, passionate DJ sets and stalwart studio productions, Monosurround has displayed a diversity and musical expertise which transcends simple definition. Their breakthrough track "I Warned You Baby" proved to be one of the anthems of recent year in Germany, gaining massive chart success (#1 on ECC, #10 on DDC, plus appearances on countless sales and DJ charts) as well as becoming the hymns of both the Sonne-Mond-Stern Festival and Love Parade in 2002. Additionally, their tunes have appeared on a remarkable list of labels such as Superstar Recordings, Moonbootique Records, Dream Beat, and 1st Decade Records.

"Second Lesson (Original Mix)" hits hard and deep with its massively cavernous kick and sparsely chunky bassline, which flawlessly give way to subtly brooding breakdowns. Forming some bastard hybrid of rough digital funk and glitchy retro EBM-influenced electro, "Second Lesson" will give the dancefloor a course in all the necessary tools for generating those prized moments peak-time pandemonium.

"Second Lesson (Monosurround Remix)" develops as a subtle 4/4-breakbeat fusion that is equally fitting for a tek-funk excursion as it is for a euphoric awakening from a deep minimal or electro journey. Monosurround show their prowess by giving a dash more subtlety to the overall feel while imparting a melodic touch to create a track that will be a hit in diverse musical circles. This mix is guaranteed to sneak up on dancefloors and become a distinctive favorite for 2006.
