ARTIST : Stephan Riedel
TITLE : Controlled Body Movements

RELEASE : 30.10.2006
CAT no`: HADSH073
FILE UNDER: TRIBAL / TECH HOUSE

TRACKLIST:

A1. Controlled Body Movement
B1. Acetat
B2. Dedication

"Controlled Body Movement" gives the first glimpse of this burgeoning talent with a throbbing techno-influenced gem. Containing an unmistakable taste of German tech-trance from years past (ala Harthouse), the track utilizes a cavernous kick and low, bouncing bassline to drive the groove while squelchy stabs highlight the subtle rhythmic nuances. As a chirpy sample slyly develops into the main theme of the song, those on the dancefloor will have no choice but to heed the order, "Let the beat control your body".

"Acetat" dives deeper into the sounds of the night with a superb exercise in minimalistic tribalism. Beginning with a dark tech-trance feel, Acetat methodically develops through expert sound modulations and clever melodic manipulations into a droning yet subtly emotional piece which is perfect for warming up the early-evening dancefloor.

With "Dedication" Stefan explores the classic electro sound, creating a composition sure to find favor with those seeking a more abstract flavor in their selections. Dedication gives tribute to the music of years past with its retro-influenced percussion & sampling, while exhibiting a sensibility for modern electronics in its 3-dimensional arrangement and up-to-date production. The low, rumbling bass will keep the feet moving to the rhythm while the wistful melody will undoubtedly haunt the memories of those on the dancefloor long after the sun has risen.
