Jip, logic is as buggy on a hackintosh as on a real mac

Here is a nice place to start:

If you have craeted a proper dsdt.aml you can even create a vanilla (no crack no nothing just install from the original DVD after initially booting from a boot cd, after that no boot cd needed anymore) install on you pc without patching anything, assumed that you have compatible hardware

Best way to try it is to add a separate HDD for osx only so that both systems are independent

we tried it last year trying to get away from Cubase to logic for a pro sound
but the amount of performance you loose just doesnt make it worth it

instead we ended up going for Presonus

and are now happier than a dog with two cocks

i managed to install it on my laptop and desktop and it boots without a problem. but its a pain in the ass to setup the graphics card to show other resolutions except 1024x

i even went so far to buy a supported graphics card by apple to see if i can get the desktop runing at full resolution, but unfortunatly it looks like it clashes with my other hw so that attempt failed...

as for the laptop my graphics card has kexts that should make it work but they dont

and there is the pain in the but process to figure out what procedure will get a bootable system

there are many bootloaders, different osx distributions, kexts etc...

You dont loose any performance compared to a "real" mac.

Regarding legality, as far as you dont modify OS X it should be

according to apple if you install lion or laeopard on a pc they no likey at all

so its not leagal as you have to use a hacked copy

You do not have to hack anything as I stated before. You can just use the Retail DVD , ohh uhh there is no DVD anymore ... of LieON
