My oxygen8 finally crapped out and sends random midi messages sporadically. Which can get kind of frustrating when you are trying to play perform something or produce music... so I was wondering if anyone had any good links to some information on delving inside the guts of the midi controller. Maybe taking parts from my oxygen and somehow DIY-mutating it into a frankenstein-midi controller? or just some software to see which parameter is sending messages, I know it's one of the knobs.. could I disable one of them?

I have had similar problems with my old Fatar midi keyboard. The modulation wheen started to send random messages, like it's slightly trmblin. I simply opened the keyboard and disconnected the mod-wheel, the same you can do when you locate the problematic knob.

I'm in the process of modding an old O2 controller and a Presonus Firebox to make a midi mixer/audio interface console to play live with..I'll probably write an article about it with some pics and instruction soon.

my oxygen 8 doesnt work in cubase anymore...in other platforms yes..cant get it work in sx3..wtf?..

Have the latest drivers? If you're using Vista, they have the 32 bit drivers up now.
