Just got this in the mail last night. After a hard day at work I sat down rolled one up and poped this cd in. The first track started so slow and ambient that I put the cd on pause and decided to listen as I went to sleep. A few hours later totaly drop dead tired I stumbled into bed with my girl. We smoked and talked for a few moments listening to the opening of the cd. I thought to my self "I will listen in the morning I am too tired". As I lie there wating for sleep to take me I found that I was instead taken by this beautifull CD. Allmost 45 min later I was still wide awake but totaly relaxed. This cd is one of those rare moments of sound that can completly capture your soul. I really can not say too much about this sound. This CD is allmost perfict in every way. Do not download this. Buy it. Now......... Good job Guys.

Well I think we can pretty much say the ambient release of the year is over... anybody who had heard anything by either Aes Dana or Solar Fields woud know why, the meeting of two of the greatest chilled minds out there, mixed together produces pure bliss.... so pick it up, put on the headphones, turn out the lights, lite the incense and let the journey through pleasant alien mindscapes begin... soft synths float around you, groovy bass, acoustic guitar, funky drums, sometimes a slow 4/4 or a funky drum n bass type beat, and sweet vocal sounds... mixed into a flowing story you are drawn out of this world and into heaven... the sound quality is perfect, the flow is like a perfect story, Ultimae yet again prove why they are IMO the greatest label for downtempo sounds in out scene... go get it today

for those familiar with the artists' past work, the mind tries to pull apart the sounds, grooves, and structures to attribute them to either Aes Dana or Solar Fields. it's useless though - they have created a beautiful aural collage creating rich synergies from their individual sounds and influences.

i listened to the album about 6 times before listening to it on a pair of quality studio headphones. let me tell you that it became a whole different experience - completely enveloping. as is typical of the Ultimae sound, the artists address every frequency range in a clear and concise manner. do yourself a favor and make sure to listen to it atleast once on a full-range sound system or a really quality pair of headphones.

cheers to vincent and magnus.

I have to agree... heard this at a friends house and it is quite amazing! Magnus and Vincent are fast becoming masters of intelligent and evolving music in my opinion...

So far I'll say that either of them can do no wrong...

Aes Dana - Aftermath was quite amazing!

b-oms           experiment !
make it your motto day and night.
experiment,
and it will lead you to the light.
the apple on the top of the tree
is never too high to achieve,
so take an example from eve...
experiment !
