i am not sure - but since i am also a serious ITALO DISCO collector for years i can truly say:
for some people it is important.
although there are many official rereleases from old italo records - people are still paying crazy bucks for the original releases.
i dont care, but my question was more in a funny way,
i was desperately seeking for at least a small difference to legitimate the high amount i paid 
btw:
i just had a phone call with ultimae (we have a solar fields booking on 31th of december in ffm).
and for sure:
most of all releases will come out again - in same artwork, except for the first Fahrenheit releases....
so dont pay crazy prices - be careful!

I saw that Asura - Code Eternity went for €23,74 on ebay.de about 10 days ago. There was another copy around the same time that went for a similar amount.
I wonder if the seller or buyer knew about the re-releases?
BTW I know that the original releases do matter to serious collectors - but for me, as long as I get a legitimate copy with nice artwork I don't mind.

Just seen that someone has put Distances on Discogs for €85, it definitely wasn't on there yesterday!! I wonder if they got their re-release in the post today?
I see that it sold for €125 on 2008-07-26, several of the others that will be re-released soon are on there for high prices too.
There is 2 copies of Extended though - £69.99 & $110.

I've looked at the scans of the original release on Discogs and the artwork on the new one is basically the same, but there is 3 distinguishing features that I can see:
1) On the inside front cover:
Original has - (C) & (P) on this album 2004 Ultimae Records
New one has - (P) + (C) on this album 2004-2008 Ultimae Records [but using the unicode symbols © and ℗]
2) On inside back cover:
Original has - fax: 00 33 (0)4 72 40 99 57
New one has - fax: 00 33 (0)4 78 39 84 31
3) New back cover has logos for La Baleine and Montera Music missing, the Ultimae logo is different and there are less distributed by references
So enough to tell them apart if it really matters to you! But will many people think the original is worth much/any more money though?

i also got my repress yesterday and i compared both items:
the main difference is the surface of the digipack:
the original has a matt-finished surface (which looks better IMO but you can see there every fingerprint...)
the repress has a shiny cover....

got my copy on Sunday..
and i have no idea why i didn't bought the first or the second edition.
"Distances" is one of the best albums in the Ultimae catalog,(IMO..) beautiful stuff ! !
it will go very well with the upcoming winter.

Does it also have the same differences that I noted though? Or is there more than one repress?
Most of my Ultimae releases have got shiny covers - 9 shiny and 4 matt.
I managed to get the last copy of CBL - World of Sleepers from an on-line shop at the weekend (went out-of-stock after I bought mine) I can hardly wait for it to arrive!

maybe some people are prefering the matt finished sleave from the 1st edition?
crazy - i paid 120 euros some months before the repress action...
first i was totally pissed - but now i am relaxed - just money - and just in case: if it had not been for the repress - what then? then nobody would be pissed and it would be still ok to pay much money...
