You certainly got talent there.
Have you tried to move the bass line one octave down? If that does not work, I would consider replacing the bass instrument for something that sounds a little more alive and less synth-ish/ digital.

You're not the first to say that... I might see how it goes down the octave thanks for the comment

I'm not a fan of piano .. ever.
But that's my problem and I'll get over it - might be childhood thing. It works great in this track. Cheers man. |

It's a tough one, I really like Piano... but ALOT of people especially in the psy scene really can't stand piano in electronic music, and you risk turning people off your music if you put any in it at all... It does kinda work in this track though

Fucking awesome. Really nice song with great melodies and percussion. I like the real instruments esp the violin and I think the piano works well. I'd be interested in hearing it with the bass mixed up a little rather than single long notes though.
Checked out your EP on ektoplazm too. Again, really good stuff

Yeah I guess the reason I am going whole notes with an unmodulated bassline is a reaction to the whole latest aussie fad of bassmusic/glitch hop which is all about bass modulation...
Whereas I am just not about wonky bass, or gimmicks or production tricks with this project. So I like deep big bass notes to sit as a foundation for the music...
or maybe I am too lazy to do bass. |
