This is a superb album. Although one can feel like they are listening to a cassette tape at times due to the hiss in some of the tracks, the content is very enjoyable.
Life of Flesh is a GREAT track.

This album is a retrospective of Gus' - downbeat, dub and experimental productions recorded between 1992-2003 around the world from Melbourne, NY, London and Devon. Features co productions with Raja Ram (Sphongle/The Infinity Project), George Barker (Slinky Wizard), Paul Jackson (Genetic) and Matt Coldrick (Green nuns of the Revolution).

Really like track 8, "Monkey in the Black Sky". Any idea about the year of its recording?..
The whole album is very good, too, especially if you have in mind it's a retrospective, not a brand new CD. With a nice '99 flashback in "North by Northwest 6", and the 60s-like artwork. Maybe not a great record, but definitely worth buying. Or maybe I'm just too subjective =), remembering Gus' brilliant chillout dj-set @Samothraki'2002 -- got a feeling that he was playing some tracks from this album.. |

recorded 1997/98. ... released in 1999 on TIME re:evolution II 3CD on flying rhino
The version North by Northwest 6 released on TIP in '99 was the incorrect edit/mix

Really considered buying this one, as I've been a huge fan of Gus since the Slinky Wizard days.
Interesting to see a remix of one of his newest classics, "North By Northwest" on the tracklist.
Oh yeah - I also love the coverart
