If its done right then guitars go really well with psy, but it sounds like shite if its not. i dont like guitar as much in psy, but some artists can really pull it off. Like nonefield for example...i think he does some pretty good friggin work. the guitar samples sound so friggin nice (lots of texture etc) and the melodies are quite good. check out tracks like "its my sin" or "Need You Like a Drug"

Do we realy need Guitars in trance.
well guitar's for what i see in this karupt world is the most basic instrument ever.
evry song but evory song has guitars in it.
isnt guitars geting a bit to boring...
(most ppl will comment)hhh h hh.i will never get tierd of guitars...

It's not so about the guitar itself but the fashion aspect and I do understand your point..
And as I wrote already in the "dark metal psytrance" topic.. I'm not fond of hard-rock / metal samples with very melodic solos.. I prefer some punked basic chords !

Bang on target! It was various types of guitars which made the melodius music of the 60's and can contribute greatly to Psychedelic trance!
This way the 'unplugged purists' can too get integrated into the scene! |
