hi all! i want to use my guitar as a midi controller what is the best way to do that? i know thers some pickups from axon and roland and some midi guitars. anyone here use this things ?

ok.... i found my answer if anyone intrested in this u need 2 things:
1. midi pickup like roland's gk-3 cost 175$.
2. midi interface like roland's gi-20 cost 400$.

Here is a link to a great option, no midi pickups or nothing, cheap and great for guitar players.

im lucky enough to have midi guitar (rolands pickup and module)

probably x10 better for me then keyboard.. as i can actualy play it and not just hit notes with 2 fingers lol

the problem with the sonuus g2m is that it can only process monophonic signals, so chords are out.

I had the GR-1 about 12 years ago, way before I started getting into electronic music and knew what I could have done with it. It was ok, but had a long latency and didn't pick up every note, which is why I got rid of it.

which one are you using? I'm curious now as to how much better the quality has gotten on these controllers. It would def be easier to insert notes via guitar instead of transposition to keys for me.
