NO I DON'T NEED ANYBODY TO TELL "TRY AND YOU WILL SEE", OR "TRIAL and ERROR" SHIT...AS MUCH AS I DONT NEED YOU TO TELL ME IT'S WET WHEN I'M SWIMMING...
ok, now that that things are clear, i have a question to anybody producing with real guitar instrument sampling or djing with someone playing guitar on the beats
-which frequencies do you filter out from guitar (i guess for sure a high pass)
-which frequencies do you filter on the tracks you are mixing to leave room for guitar without loosing in quality in the sound in playback?
thx in advance

Filter out the bottom end up to around 160Hz as well as filter out the top end up to about 17k.
then depends on the guitar you are using. I slightly drop the mids around 350Hz on my SG, and it sounds like this:

Peace out.

It also depends on what type of effect you are using, at the end of the day the guitar is like any other instrument, you need to use your ears and both hi pass and low pass.
For clarity/presence look for a small analogue boost at arround 7khz and for energy/punch arround 200Hz this will obviously depend on what key you are in.

And it also depend which kind of stuff do you want to sound the guitar. Some esample:
I like the guitar sound of Kyuss, it`s a deep
Stoner Sound: More Bass No Middle No High
(The origin Kyuss Guitar Sound was played through an bass amp with distortion).
Metal sound need another equing like classical guitars....
A good start point for me, is always cut all
middle frequencies out, give some bass,be carefull with your psy kick and bass frequencies, then ad some high frequencies you like. The middle freq. mixing comes in when the whole arrangement is ready.
Btw: A very cool trick for your high freq. is the deessing trick from waves:

thx for the answers, it's actually going to be a dj set with a live electric guitar on it.
it's therefore impossible to have the guitar analysed in some spectrum analyser previously, there's of course a little preparation organisation of the thing but nothing more than playing tracks with known tone and plenty of room on the mid-high frequencies, and live guitar improvisation on it, that's the only way to keep it funny and live
it sounds exactly like songs posted from axis and DH, high and light guitar pads a la pink flloyd / and some virtuoso stuff on fullon tracks with strong percussive presence and not so much leads
