Hello everyone,

the other day I came home from a bar at 3 in the morning completely wasted and made this mix, which much to my surprise the next morning is pretty awesome, which is why I wanna share it with you guys. I really like the flow and track selection of things, and the mixing is surprisingly solid considering the level of inebriation (not squeaky clean perfect, but hey..)

I would call this music "pure trance", even though 80% of these tracks go under the category of Techno at Beatport. At the end you will recognize some familiar psy-names

Why dedicate this Mix to Barry Manilow you ask? I don't know, when I woke up the next morning I saw that was the title I had given it the night before. I guess I probably thought that because this mix is so melodic and Barry Manilow always has such beautiful melodies when he sings, it would just make perfect sense. And that one song is called "Ode ao Sol" so that probably inspired me to call this Mix

"Ode an Barry Manilow"
(translated "Ode to Barry Manilow")

Great track selection man!

Just finishing listening to it, drinking beers with some friends, everyone loved it, thanks!           «They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night.»

interesting...... this track is great mate
The Droyds - All I ever wanted (Dusty Kid Needs Love Mix) - Rebirth Records
By the way.. I don't like the flow at the end when you mix the FreQ track it somehow breaks it.... the mixing techniques are nice though ;-)

Love the first part of the mix, tracks are spacious and the mix is relaxed. Towards the end I feel like I'm searching the vinyl box for something to fill the space.
But like you say this was an impromtu session for which I can give you much credit because otherwise it's a very good mix and I would imagine a planned mix session would come out tops to say the least.

Do you have any more mixes like this, would love to hear them.           Enlightenment, Ascension, Empowerment

I agree, the first part is best...           «They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night.»

Thanks for the feedback guys, im glad you liked it

But you are right, being sober i felt the same way as you guys did, the end is pushing it a bit, but i remember i was so infatuated with that Freq track at the time i had to push it in there. I still think its a great track, it just doesnt necessarily fit in that context. But like subdubbed said, it was an impromptu drunken mixing session (at least blood alcohol level 2.0), so considering that i am very happy with it.

About other mixes, i posted these two before:

This one is "planned" and im very happy about it, its very much like the first part of the mix, so you probably will like it.

This one is very calm and relaxed and trippy in a weird way, its strange but good music to listen to in your room while staring at walls n' stuff...

And I will post at least one or even two new mixes in the next few days, i bought a shitload of new music over the winterbreak. im excited like a little kid, there is so much good music coming out these days, whenever i go music shopping i go absolutely crazy. i think i havent felt like this since the time i first started buying vynil back in the day... this is just a great year to be an electronic music lover....

That's Daso - Meine, it runs from starting around 25 minutes until around 30 minutes. That was one of my favorite tracks from last year, I love it
