Oh. You mean all those weird noises.
Just take any VST (Vanguard would be a nice choice imo) and play with the knobs. The key is filter envelopes and effects. Play with it until you find something.

try to listen only to the kick, bassline and perc in loop
than stop it and try to think the music in your head and than you think about what do you want to add and how..

I bet he means these squeeky fx. They are made by modulating the pitch with a modulating envelope. Meaning that you make the pitch go down by one or two octaves very quickly. Try disco dsp. Most of these squeeky sounds you hear were made either with virus or Nord Lead. Disco dsp is a Nord Lead emulation.
Now for what rhythm they are playing, there are no rules about this. What I do is put random notes in the midi editor untill I get some inspiration, or get something good done by luck.

get your lead melody, and just take a rythm out of it and give it another sound then take the melody again and take another rythm and give it another sound...trance is made of rythms so just start with the bassline rythm and from the bassline you do the whole track!

ganjagil - pretty boring track i would have if my baseline was a straight 16th-baseline

i dont think your concept would work totaly, maybe to a certain degree, but eventually you would want something new to happen...something thats not in the same line as everything else....

but you are correct that some elements can be merged in this way...
making a lead sound out of the baseline sequence can be cool sometimes...
