check out any computer / Digital Imaging store man... those cards are everywhere...

yeah those cards are't proprietary. you can find them at most digital imaging stores.

First of all, a mc-505 requires a 5V smartmedia card of 2mb or4mb. The 3V series don't work. Secondly, you can't get them anymore, believe me I've checked everything (photoshops, media shops, distributors...) reason is they don't make them anymore. I bought mine via ebay with a lot of trouble and 6 months waiting at the price of 50€. They used to cost 10€ at photoshops (they're also used for the first generation of digital cameras), but now their price peaks since they don't make 'em anymore. When you order one at Roland you pay the absurd price of 150€.
So, good luck finding one on ebay (but if I we're you: buy better gear if you want to make trance, the 505 doesn't do so well, even after tweaking the hell out of it)
