For three years now, the Green & BLue Open Air at Waldschwimmbad Obertshausen belongs to the most beautiful parties in Germany. In order to preserve the unique mood of the party in between the big trees and cool pools, the sets of Ibiza shooting star Loco Dice and Cocoon darling Ricardo Villalobos, including the atmosphere, have been recorded and are now released as a double Mix-CD.
From Hip Hop star to successful House DJ, producer and remixer! After tunesian-born Loco Dice had toured the clubs worldwide as a rapper and Black Music DJ, he takes his first steps as a House DJ in Düsseldorf in 1998. Besides his residencies at TRIBEHOUSE (Neuss) and DC10 (Ibiza), he plays the most important clubs and events worldwide. His style is characterized by a deep and groovy house sound, which he calls chunky. These criteria are also reflecting within the productions he releases on 4:Twenty Records or Josh Wink's label Ovum Records. His own productions as well as his remixes for artists like Timo Maas or Mousse T. make him a popular producer and remixer.
Since the early '90s, Ricardo Villalobos has been building an impressive discography of 12" releases on respected dance labels like Playhouse and Perlon. In his youth, the Chilean-born producer/DJ moved with his family to Germany in order to avoid the military dictatorship of Pinochet, and he eventually fell in with the country's fertile house community. A minimalist at heart, he has trotted the globe to study percussion in order to apply hisknowledge to his productions, which almost always sound remarkably expansive despite their simplicity. Since 1998, Sven Väth's Cocoon Agency takes care for his bookings. In addition to his own solo material, he has recorded with fellow expatriate Dandy Jack as Ric y Martin and with Luciano as Sense Club; additionally, he has taken part in Markus Nikolai's Hombre Ojo project. Two excellent mixes - 2002's Love Family Trax and 2003's Taka Taka on Cocoon Recordings - have been released, but the apex of his career appears to be Alcachofa, a 2003 full-length released on Playhouse. A second full-length, Le Thé Au Harem D'Archimède, arrived on Perlon in 2004.
