and now do you believe that the greek players are the best in europe?
in trance music we have wizzy noise...
in football?
it has not to do with quantity but it has to do with music culture...

Raziel i dont believe that the Greek players are the best in Europe thats why i used the greek team example, they won the championship but still they are lower than average in Europe.

So like in football in music we have Wizzy Noise who are the champions but after them chaos follows....           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Quoting CLOWN: i find hallucinogen has no kick what so ever..
Respond: Dont you know that the KICk is the least important thing in the music? Ithink its only there so that people understand when to put the feets down in same tempo as the track haha.. For me The KICK, bass and Beats is only the Foundation.. it is the MUSIC that is put on top of it, that is the REAL THING!!! For me that is....
Some people likes only a Kick and after 5 minutes maybe a hihat comes in, but for me who comes from ABBA-LAND this is crap.. The music is in the Tones and layers and the Music is what makes me connect to what ever higher power there is.. the Kick Doesnt give me the HARD ON so to speak.. SO when listening to Hallucinogen I hear TRUE fucking Music genius stuff... Now thats all I have to say about KICKS.. I have heard them all and no kick surprize me any more.. I think its over rated... I think all producers should skip the bass, kick and cut all frequensis under 500 Hertz heheh.. HM:: somewhere on the way I LOST IT heheeh But you see my point heheh LOL=) Love and Light to all of you babas! Now who is gonan be the first one out to make an labum with no kick and bass? I bet it will be declared as the most innovative since the discovering of the Wheel.. or maybe Im tired and should go to bed before I loose it completely hehe BOOM!

Well said mate. Well said. Kickdrums are just Kickdrums. Anyone can make a stomping Kickdrum. Not anyone can handle FM synths like Simon though...Simon the Sorcerer as I call him!!!           Bring yourselves into the light

i don't totally agree ...i think it depends on the person ... for me( i m just a musician) it's harder to make a killer kick bass than nice synths ...because it's soooo technic, u really have to play with the frequency and it's like a big puzzle ...
sound technic is easy for sound engineers , they can make an amazing kick bass while they can suck at composing if they are not musician ... in contrary u can have an amazing musician that will make amazing music while it won't be really FAT because the sound production won't be really good.
for me, one cannot go without the other , a great piece of music is a track that will be amazing on both side, technically and musically
i cannot imagine a good track with a shitty kick bass
rythm is as important as melody and atmosphere , it's 50/50 (except for classical and ambient)

if you don't have a good bassline that change all the time and,if you don't have a kick to boom your hurt out you can't imagine to construct the MUSIC that is put on top of it...
and besides if you know how to use the kick
you can shoot people out
tegma - wandalla
sensient-ballistic
for example
these are very clever writed kicks man

ps: all these are so I pm soulsurfer these

Well side-a, i make music myself, and i must disagree with you. For sure kicks and basses need technique. Lots of eq'ing and compressing mostly. Sometimes even more, flanging, chorusing, and more, depends on the occasion. Handling an FM synth decently though, and making magic melodies, is for sure the most difficult thing. Not only does it demand deep technical knowledge, ( handling the oscillators, the LFO's and the filters on such synths is very tricky ), but it also provides the absolute character, the soul if I may call it of a musical piece. The kicks and basses provide the "basso continuo" for those musically educated. It is the foundation, for sure, but otherwise it's just a 4/4 rhythm.           Bring yourselves into the light

that's what i was saying in the beginning of my post ...it depends on the person, u cannot make a generality from your own experience everyone is different
