and about the line up:
i know its not a place for such questions but i feel that organizators just dont have any music concept. they want make progressive stage but they didnt care to bring New and realy Progressive names. they full line up with great artists but no one of them is not Black Horse or Surprize if u want.
i haved heard 99% of the global line up (include first,second and 3-th stage) and i feel strange to see such rich line up but without any chance to be surprized.
where is all the progressive and still not Star ppl ?? Cubica,Bitmonx,P-Woland,Nukem, Alegria, Amphasis, Phillip, XV Killist, SonnenVakuum, P.O.T.S., Magnetrixx and more... ??
i mean,they bring all the Best of the Best artists (on two stages) BUT dont have any concept why they do it. good line up is litlle more than just Big Names Parade.
what about make progressive stage Progressive and not Famous ??

Well, with Nukem there is sort of a problem, he isn't a star in the trance scene, but he isn't in the trance scene at all. he comes and releases in the house scene, his gig's therefore are priced accordingly (around 2000$) and that's very high for a DJ who is quite unknown for us.
otherwise I agree, the guys at Samothraki just brought the biggest names they could get their hands on. on the other hand somethimes when you put up a lineup for a festival you think more about how many people will come to hear a certain DJ then about the complete lineup.

yeah,right..
just sad to complete with fact that festivals gonna be just Big party without any concept of music. all this festivals in greece looks super commerzial events that from the begining dont have any spirit background.
its sad..
everyone know voov story and concept (no line up, u come to be voov tribe and not to catch big names), lovefield (expirience new kind of electronic music in different way), fusion (provide all kinds of dance music), solipse (solipse), xpo (music for a music, label partys and label places around festival to make life of yuang artists easily)...
what a idea behind samothraki/solaluna/others greece "festivals" ?? where is history and what a future ??
good to know its not me alone see things like that...
anyway,dont think i bitching or something, just want share my opinion.. |

eli, just one correction, since we agree about all, yesterday.
the lovefield concept is not exactly "expirience new kind of electronic music in different way" common?
i would call it, "experience love with different people in a new way" (and don't worry about the music at the background, since its freeform... )
 LOL

I think that's it's great that they bring all the biggest names to Samothraki.....
Where else can I see all my favorite artists in one place?
I really hope I'll be able to be there...Let's just wait and see how much the entire thing is gonna cost (flight,tickets, trnsportation etc...)

Mr Uzi: Take a look at the list Goblim posted... this is just too good to be true...
Seeing all those artists in Israel will take me years.. not to mention that some of the parties here will probably be busted and other will have all those Shimons...
In conclusion, I still think that seeing all those artists in one place is a very good idea... besides, the location (Samothraky Island) should be amazing.

After taking another look at the list I realize that Simon and Raja are not there...
2 bad... I've been dying to see Simon and Raja on stage. (missed Raja when he was here)
