Hi guys! Even though I know in a way or another that this topic was somehow covered, I don't seem to find a way to achieve this bass, so I just hope that you can give me a hand.

My bass, no matter how much I try it's more boomy, than crunchy and it does not really roll with the kick. I'll give an example which may not be the best one , but still very good:

...the bass starts at 0.30 sec.

I use Virus and Tetra if it matters.
Thanks a lot!

remove the mud in the mids eq it well and use saturation,i can listen only on crappy headphone right now but i think you are after that kind of bass that sound creamy i like these too, try to use saw oscillator that are warm and phat, you will need less processing, don t know about tera and virus but i guess it will do the trick.
favorite bass like this i have heard was run to gears with transformers and saturate a little, it give nice weight and creamy sound ,smear a bit the transients nicely, in plugs i have been very close but still not the same specially in the weight and 3d feel.
soneq is great... with a good saturator , a paramteric eq to clean and help to get the right balance and you re there but try different chain order...
maybe there is other way but i get these bass like this ,the trick is to use saturation and eq to get the sound more hyped and analog like ,thats the 2 keys points imo

Also you can use the saturator or distortion as a send effect. that way you can cut the low part and it will just add bite to the top/ mid of the bass and not mess with the lows of the original sound.           soundcloud.com/supergroover
