Hey , I can't seem to find flights to salloniki during the time of the festival.
How far is it from Athens? what are the ways to get to the festival from there? can it be done in a single day?
i'd be happy to get some answeres .. thanx a lot ..

Athens is quite far from Asprovalta about 700 km.The good thing about it that ther are many ways to get from Athens to festival.First of all i woukd recomment you the train service which is reliable and a cheap option You will need about 10 hours from Athens to closest station which is in DRAMA or 8 hours to Saloniki.From there you can take the public bus service which costs you also cheap to Asprovalta.From Saloniki or Drama takes one hour to get to the festival area.
Second choice,a little bit expencive,is to take the bus from Athens to Saloniki,the tour takes about 7 hours and then the next bus to Asprovalta.
So it depends on when you exactly arrive in Athens.IF you land early morning then yes you can be in AURORA in the same day.There are buses each hour to Saloniki and two or three trains daily from Athens.

When you were describing the cost of the train vs the bus, what is your refference to cheap or expensive?
how much is the astimated ticket price for a bus or a train?

train fares start from 15 to 45 euros for the intercity and 15-30 for the slower one
and 35 euros for the bus athens to thessaloniki
plus 3-6 euros from thessaloniki to aprovalta
