Grass on the dancefloor ???

All of my best dance's have been barefoot dancing on grass (the underfoot, rather than smokeable variety). Obviously these times have been outdoors. Unfortunately in the UK, we don't often have the weather for this, and so most of the time we are found to be dancing indoors.
In two weeks time is the Baraka 7th birthday, and as a special treat we are going to bring your feet a taste of the outdoors, by putting down a lawn on a section on the dancefloor.
So what I want to know is, would you want to use it, or would you keep your distance?

Well I have already experienced indoor "beach parties" where there was sand placed on the dancefloor.. it was quite fun, excepts when a furious dancer with moonboots accidentaly walk on your naked foot...

Well i think that i would use it, but KaKoOlalaJwal said it well about the furious dancer. I don´t think it would be pleasent to be stepped on.
but i see your point. Trying to please your customers....
I wish every party organizers had the same concern that u are showing.

Heh it sounds groovy! Id dance on it... 
Maybe enforce a strict no shoez policy at the grass zone... So no one loses a toe. |

We had thought of that. There will be no shoes allowed on the grass to minimise both damage to the grass and to people's feet

I like wooden floors also. Once in Paradiso in Anjuna, I stomped so much to a set from Domino that next day i had boils on my feet.

That's a wonderful idea. I was recently at a party where the make-out room had live grass sod on the floor. A grass dance floor is a great idea too! As u said, no feet on the dance floor and u also might want to watch what people do with their beer bottles and other potentially sharp objects! |

There was a camp at Burningman for a few years called Xara that had a grass sod dancefloor. It was really nice to dance on the grass after being in a hot dusty desert for a week. Everyone had to take their shoes off, of course.

Thats a very good call on the no shoes rule...i would really enjoy a party with some nice grass to dance on; some nicely manicured stuff like you get from the green on a golf course. now that would be nice.

Well, I don't like to get needles in my feet, especially because the needles can be effected by HIV etc. I have seen used needles on the dancefloor on several parties, so...now I keep my shoes on at parties...
And to those who have to shoot the drugs into your veins on the dancefloor, please throw the needles some other place instead of in front of the stage...
Those sitting on the dancefloor are not only smoking...
