i'd suggest to get one with passive cooling. also, if you don't play games, save the money!
cheers

Enertopia: Why 256 or 512 if I'm not going to use many graphic applications? Just internet, MicrosoftWord and the DAW.
Dtd:I'm going for passive cooling.. but I don't know if 128 or 256..
I will not play games, but what do you mean by "save the money"? don't buy one? or just buy a 128 Mb? |

128 is enough. i run 2 x 22" screen with 10xx X 16xx resolution on each. runs pretty smooth (cant remember exact numbers)

trancedelux, yeah, with save the money i meant to buy the cheaper one and save the difference to the expensive one. if you know that you won't play games i think its a good decision.

I'd go for the one that supports 2 BIG displays with no problems. and I think there are the ones with 128M as well there, and onboard ones too.
And another good point towards an onboard graphic chip is the fact it doesn't take a PCI-e slot.
Cheers!

Hi Bilbobagginz, I'm buying the DP965 Intel motherboard, and it doesen't come with an onboard graphic card, so I necessairly have to use that PCIe slot. |
