What incredible music all of these guys threw together. Amanda was great, GoW were incredible, and Lauryn did a fantastic job. I had a wonderful time at the party as usual. My head is still growling with the bass!!

However, for those of you who supposedly produced this show--->What a bunch of bullshit!! You had a great location, top-notch acts, and 30$ tickets...You guys should start acting a little more professional when it comes to stuff like this. Shit happens, but thanks to the usual crew (who usually do all the work) for not letting that deter them from a good time.

Please! for all the artists who came--->this party wasn't indicative of what Texas parties are really like. So please don't be scared away from Texas, just look at who you are working with...What a bunch of flakes
If you want to know how the parties really are, talk to Neuromotor.

Thanks for everyone's hard work...like I said we still had fun, but it was a big let down and for those who suckered us with a bunch of hype, you should never produce a show again. Texas trance has many better promoters and we'll see them soon!

I have to ask you if this was your first Mistical Productions party? Who are all these people that you refered to as the "usual crew"?           Brian - Uhm

Let me enumerate:

1)After the party in Austin on May 14th, someone was passing out fliers and saying that there would be much "better" decor. I learned later that it was the promoter of the party... Party time sat. night around 10pm. -->owners of the property running around looking for him... he wasn't there. The decor was not even close to what is put up in my backyard.

2)What kind of promotion was done? Not much apparently. Why weren't there more people? 30$ tickets the reason?? No Promotion??

3)General sense of hysteria...dj's not knowing when they were playing, people running around trying to assemble some decor (there wasn't any).

4)The sad faces of those who were playing to such a small audience. I really felt sorry for the artists.

5)Small and minor complaint, but no water?? It isn't expensive, and I am sure that it could've been done.

Tell me...wouldn't you feel ripped off if you were given a set of expectations but they weren't met. I admit that the artists were great. I enjoyed every stompin' second of their performances. But why would they come to BFE to play for a crowd of 30 people??

To answer your questions: No this wasn't my first Mistical Productions party, but it will more than likely be my last. I have been going to shows in Dallas and Austin for over 3 years. I know from experience that this wasn't a good image to project to potential artists.
The "usual crew" is the same people that show up to the party regardless of who's playing it or where it's at. They help out and work their tales off each and every time just to hear the music. It would have been a bit nicer had the promoters put in the same amount of effort.

Our community in Texas is small. What one does can ruin the image for all of Texas trance. By having such a cool location, by building up expectations, it is the promoter's responsibility to meet them. In this instance it wasn't the case. I am really sorry for whoever funded the event.

i agree that the party could have been more organized, it would have been better if more people had been there.... but it seems like the promoters are trying to figure out what went wrong and learn from their mistakes. in any case, i would give these guys at least one more chance and make a point to go to the party with Fractal Cowboys, Ghreg on Earth and Mubali in a few weeks. I've seen these guys on more occasions than i can count, and they have always blown my mind.
Definately do not miss the chance to see them. They are amazing!

hmmmm, yes i agree with a lot of the points you made, but also i hope it was a learning experience for the promoters! There are many things they could have done differently and hopefully they will make some big changes in the future! The *small* point about water is not so small, it was seriously hot out there and peeps need to have plenty of drinking water available... I wouldn't miss the dark forest party though, if anything, maybe see if they need your help... if you see something that can be done, ask if they need help, the party is often what you make of it...
afterall the party organization was completely disasterous, but it just goes to show if the music is rocking, the party goes on! we had a great time, and grapes completely ate my brain
i hope the dark forest party is a big success

Just to clarify there was water along with other beverages and food available all for $1. The concession stand was located to the right side of the main stage, if you were facing it just beyond the tapestries that were hanging up. There was some bad organization at this party, that we, being the promotion crew, can agree on. We all feel bad for the partygoers that were disappointed on certain levels. We understand that our reputation as a quality crew has been tarnished, but we full well plan on providing quite the enviroment for Dark Forrest. We learned quite a bit from this last experience, and we promise to not let that happen again.
