hey I used to use goldwave on PC for this I could open a sound file and draw a line in the one option that would speed up or slow down the samples based on the graphed points I drew
it changed the rate at which the sample was played the pitch, speed , and length were all changed but to my specs
any audio editors have function similar to this for mac or can you do this in cubase?

Yip, you can do it in Cubase: just select an audio sample in the project window and right-click on it (dunno how this works on a mac, but i guess it's <apple>-click or something)and you can choose all kinds of options, like pitch-shift, time-stretch (you can do this with the sizing-tool as well), apply plugins, you name it. It's almost too easy

Yean Boobytrip, u do get pitch shift in cubase, but pitchbend also?
I don´t have pitchbend, I do it trough Soundforge most times if anyone can tell how to do inside cubase would be great
