Got advice for someone starting off???

I am looking for advice on which programs are available out there in 'cyber space' where I can create tracks on my PC... Impulse Tracker I have been told is easy to work with and readily available on the NET. All I found was a version (Working under DOS) which is loaded with BUGZ, anyone can tell me where to find a not so bugged version. Any other similar E.Z programs to recommend??

Hey man...
I would recommend Steinbergs ReBirth.
It can be kinda complex to use at start but youll` get used to it after a while and it goes a long way...! |

I dunno about starting with fruity, or rebirth..
I'm new to music creating aswell, and I've chosen the path of starting with Cubase..
When I'll see i get really into it, I'll also buy some gear for it.
I think its the best way to start out, though the beginning is abit difficult. To control Cubase and all...
Anyhow, please reply what you have chosen... and how are you holding on.

Everey software is difficult at the beginning, but cubase is designed to work with midi equippment wich is expensive...
In my opinion the best way to get started is with a softsynth and a soft sampler... |
