Hello dudes!
I'm posting this question here, since most of the good stonerband I've heard are from the US.
Anyone here that can give me some pointers to good bands? I really fell in love with the sound of Kyuss (also most of the Garcia-dudes recently projects like Hermano).
One could not wish for better psychadelic rock'n'roll than Kyuss.. to bad they had to split.. =/

I agree, Kyuss was badass. that is what I was listening to before psytrance. I haven't really heard anything as good as their first album, but check out Sleep, Slo-Burn (ex Kyuss member), Fu Manchu, Queens of the Stone Age (Josh, guitarist from Kyuss' new band), Acid King, Altamont, Abdullah. Depends what style you like. Fu Manchu is more happy, california surfer cruising at the beach style and Josh is trying to recapture the Kyuss sound with Queens. bands like Acid King and Abdullah and even Melvins are more heavy.
And you're right, for some reason the US produces the most bands like this, but you have to acknowledge the direct influence of the greatest band of all time - early black sabbath.
Let me know if you find something that rocks your shit.

Hello dude!
Thanks for the info.. I checked out Slo Burn recently, and that was some good shit for soure.. 
And if you haven't heard it, Hermano's album "...just a suggestion" really rocked my socks of, so give it a try..
I also found www.stonerrock.com were one can find loads of info, and hopefully some tourdates!! (I pray that Hermano is going to visit sweden soon )
