Good places for foreigners

Hello! I did some traveling through Brazil earlier this year and fell in love with the place. I would really like to travel there again or maybe even spend a summer there. I was wondering if you all can recommend some good cities for a foreigner who is big into psytrance (ie a place that has a good psytrance scene and has locals who are tolerant of foreigners). If you want to go as far as recommending specific parts of a certain city that would be awesome!

BH- (Minas Gerais) has a good scene, and bahia have good partys and beautyful places.

If you want two months full of psytrance go to Universo Paralello in Bahia for New Year's and then go south to Arrail d'Ajuda/Trancoso for an extended period of time during january and febuary. A bunch of weekday and weekend parties. Tons of brasilian/international travellers. Just ask about Lagoa Azul. I've never been to Goa but I imagine this is what it was like in it's heyday. It's a beautiful place with beautiful people. Plus, Skol does a free summer party thing there on the beach as well with good dj's playing all kinds of electronica. Very nice setup imo. It'll give you a break from your tranceing if need be. Have fun and wear sunscreen. |
