I have the Sony MDR-V700 they are really nice but mine have kinda fell apart. They still work good but i had to do a zip tie fix and the earpiece leather is cracking all over, kinda lame problems for the price but they are nice headphones. Anyway your tracks are amazing, very good stuff I downloaded a couple tracks from you site a while back and they blew me away. Keep up the nice works and good luck with the headphones, I will have to go listen to your tracks now. Peace           http://soundcloud.com/chemical-reaction

I have all exactly same problems with my Sony mdr-700's... but I like the sound, and maybe this happened because I carry them around a lot ... But softer leather would do. And the part where earphone twists, could be more strong

Sennheiser HD25. I've had 2 pairs in the last 8 years - and that's only because I lost my first pair in Israel.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

Any thoughts on the Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones? Quite a bit cheaper than the HD25. How do they compare?

Stay away from Sony if you want them to still be in one piece after 2 years.

I've used Sony MDR 600 studio monitors for a few years, and they sound great. Sometimes, when I dj they begin to distort at very high volumes, but I still prefer them to MDR 700s.

sennheiser 25 are real nice, too, but the plates are too small for my ears.
