good music clubs in nyc

hey im new to new york city. i cant seem to find any decent music clubs in new york at all just using google, and dont really know anyone in the city that is into electronic music.
anyone able to link me to a thread, or two some clubs that have a lot of psy/goa, or at least some good techno (im a fan of hard uk style and schranz), maybe some industrial/darkwave clubs?
that would be great. im sick of staring at my livingroom all weekend. peace. |

thanks... i was more or less looking for any kind of weekly or at least bi-monthly event. or best case a club exclusive to the aforementioned styles. ill keep digging  |

whats up, welcome to new york
there is a free party this sunday. its not at a club, but it is psy, so thats always good.
if you can't make that,
there is a free psy party next thursday at Nexus Lounge on 1st ave and 1st street. the down stairs will lounge will have psy trance music. |

Psy parties in NYC are usually one-offs at certain clubs (Exit BK, Webster Hall, etc.)
For hard techno (schranz, etc), you'd have to delve into the NYC rave scene, which honestly, isn't much worth diving into. (Only exception for techno in NYC being a crew called doojee. They have thrown parties at Exit BK and Rebel and get a pretty international crowd from what I hear)
For industrial clubs, look for Albion (Bat Cave), Das Bunker, and if you're willing to venture to Jersey, QXT's - my favorite goth club so far
