but the thing is jako that once you get caught with enough weed to fill a joint (all agreed there ain't that much weed there) then under the old rules you would get prosecuted and therefore any number of countries eg the good old US, could quite reasonably prevent you from entering the country - for one spliff!
also if you want to get a job then the company can ask you to provide details of any criminal offences and you don't get the job because once you were unlucky to get caught with a little bud. so the rules suck.
now it is okay, because if you get caught with a little percy then your life is not completely violated by some arsehole who thinks you are some major criminal.
wrt the organised crime bullshit Tom, the only reason the drug industry is controlled by the mafia is that they are illegal, by slowly legalising them you are removing power from the those people. if you could get weed in the local newsagent what would the marujana mafia be able to control?
wake up and smell the roses Tom....
Keith Halliwell was a total failure, the hardline approach does NOT work, the Tories are wankers putting middle england votes before reality because they are so desperate to get back into power.

ya tigga,
but, if it is ever full legit, then there would have to be better distribution than currently, that was my only point. and erm, i guess it is a start as everyone has said.

I think this is a great move in the right direction. And since I'm gonna be in London about a week from now all I can say is ... wicked mate! wicked!
As for Tom's point earlier, I also think it's a muddled policy. You will have more demand since smokers don't have to worry, plus harsher penalties for dealers. This could lead to price increases. Still, hopefully in the long term more people will start dealing (as unsavory as they might be) and the price will go back down. And this increase in business might cause so much headache for the police that they will realise how stupid it is not to regulate the distribution. And finally it will be legal - low prices, good selection! cheers! |
