Which headphones are good for DJ/live?
My Sony MDRV700DJ were Sh*t!!!! they broke at the elbow and now the earpieces flap like wings...... i'm hoping the headphones fly away or soemthing hehe
The expensive Pioneer are also known to be flimsy....... what headphones do you guys suggest? |

Yet another thumbs up for the HD25.
I use them every day, all day long.
Altough I have point out that their capsules got fucked somehow. After replacing (not to expensive, I also had warranty) it worked like new. |

The HD25's - i only use them for djing. The only problem is the cord - it's a straight cord, which means it will get in your way.
Other than that, it's the perfect Dj headphone.
Besides what i've said, they swivel 360º, and they are so small and light that you can press them against your shoulder with no problem. |

So what are you looking for in headphones?
Is it:
Durability, less size and weight, accurate sound: Sennheiser HD25/Technics RPDJ1210
Looks, circumaural, bassy sound: Sony MDVR700/Pioneer HDJ1000
If you want a compromise between all these qualities - then go for Sennheiser HD280 - a mix between bassy and accurate sound, coiled cable, replaceable parts, good swivel, circumaural, less weight but more size and finally not-so-good looks! |
