Hi,
I'm looking for a good freeware limiter (pc, vst), are there any you could recommend? According to the following page the buzimax and the kjaerhus classic limiter shall be good but I wonder if the testing-method also is valid for complete (trance) tracks. what are your experiences?

And for that matter - what about freeware compressors?
regards - martyn

If I'm not finished a track, but I want someone to hear it, I use the classic master limiter to help with volume.
I'll put it on the master, export to mp3, and I just turn it off after I export. I find it works nice.
For a free compressor, try Chunkware Vanilla SC Compressor, which can do sidechaining.

TLs Maximizer! Ive tested it against kjaerhus classic limiter and also Waves L1 and its IMO alot better than both. Its a limiting amplifier but i think thats what you are looking for right? It works the same way as the kjaerhus classic limiter its only better. |

That Busmaxx3 look interresting. I like that you have to turn up the out gain manually. Ill give it a try now. |
