not really

its about the basic sound , like the diffrence from metal guitars to flamenco guitars

your example have some dist. or fuzz or drive or whatever but its not about the chop of the glitch.

i dont think dblue glitch is actually a distortion VST ... it has the distortion effect ... but its more like a multi effect plugin ... but really nice plug in really love it

I don't think these plug ins are considered distortion but I'll post some tools I use to spice things up.
