I am searching for a nice AD-DA converter for my new (and very nice) Motu Traveler audio interface. Any good recommendations? Budget: 1000$ max

the traveler is known for having desent converters, especialy the da,where it lacks is in the preamp stage,so i would think that would be the first thing to spend some cash on! |

ok the preamps are not so good? never mind that, aint gonna use them really, just need to use the extra channels i can get from buying a good converter. The Apogee AD 8000 seems nice. maybe i should get a used model.
