Good "Cheap" Mixing consoles?!

I'm thinking about going a little out of the box with a mixing console. Could you recommend some for me? I'm making chillout/ambient/dub.
I don't really need more than 32 channels. I could easily go for 16 or 24 
EDIT: Oh, and I'd like analogue |

how much money you want to spend? lot of the budget console made since 15/20 years are not that great in term of sound.. but there is probably some exceptions.
buying used you can do some good deal as cheap new console are considered not really professional in term of sound,eq and pre..it will do the job as a mixer, but dont expect it to bring smile on your face with how 3d and warm it make the mix..though there is probably some cheap one that work good . |

some 70/80 stuff sound yummy to me , i heard/used some trident ,old amek designed when neve was working there,they sound great ...you wont find this in any new console as far as i m aware... new i have afraid it s the same problem than with analog synths.. today they sound way too much sterile cause of the progress in electronics ,the good news is that it still sound better than digital stuff.
imo a way to get something good and cheap is by used something old..it will piss on everyhting you can find new at a decent price if you find a good one..the problem its not very reliable and you might need to recap it,repare it.. to me it s lot of hassle but for the sound it worth it if you get the color you love,it will bring you lot of the omg it sound dope smiles |

Had both a 24 channel Soundcraft Spirit Studio 8 Buss desk and a 32channel Mackie 8 Buss desk. Neither of them was sounding great.

couldn*t find anyhting better, looking for infos about Stagetec Aurus, how much does this console cost?-cannot find anything on the net, even on them side, I only guess price is crazy as fuck very much.
Has somebody used this from hea? Just curious.

IMO cheap is anything under $20K but over $10K.
The one that grabs me is API The Box http://www.apiaudio.com/thebox.html . Looks great for me who is recording both acoustic & electronic instrument. Has a nice retro look that will go well with my synths etc. maybe I a year or two.
