i don't want to div deep in this mysterious universe issues, in order not to go really off-topic coz it's endless,
but listen to this:
another old chinese guy said: that aliens created the pyramids but we have created the aliens.
Coz we are creatures of light, and when we first were born from this light, there was an extra light that went apart of us to space, and this became an alien that duplicated it self as we did too…those could be back and communicate with old generations of human….but stopped later due to chaos.
There was infinity chaos too.
And will be again.  coz we live in chaotic space.
-that chinese also added, that actually we are one conscious that experience it self, it’s like a one big dream and there is no death. We are recycled.
But after an chaos, we became like a ball rolling down on a slope non stop. deferent point of this ball touches the slope. but all points never touches the same point in same time on the slop. all points are connected one to the other coz this is a one piece, and the only way all those points would be together and hit at same time same point, is actually rolling back the ball to it’s real shape, an empty space…((forgetting time"past,present,future,etc...".

If you try to reach the highest level of all ; the God's level you must be fully prepared ; otherwise your mind would not stand the heat.......
Even the monks that prey all day and all night are not always fully prepared.....
It's like reaching the sun with your human form:
You will MELT......
There is also a terrible trap:
Many demons will try to convice you that they are Godlike and you will risk your soul if you deal with them....
I think is more easy to try contact an angel or a good spirit for a start but take care because you are dealing with huge amounts of energy....
It's like connecting a 6V something in 220V power supply without a transformer........

Oh God, the biggest mystery of the universe, Spirit, Brahma, Yahve, Elohim, (insert your favorite name here)
There are already some very smart replies here about God, and that's admirable considering that like Jedi say, we are talking of the highest level of all!
Can God be understood by reason? No
Can God be seen by the senses? No
Reaching God, is the hardest achievement a human can attain, and like Jedi said you need to be fully prepared, because the spiritual path (doesn't matter which one you take) is like the blade of a sword, it gets thinner and thinner as you keep advancing. The temptations grow stronger, and a lot of Demons and Satan himself will try to make you fall.
Meditation is a good way to develop and strenghten your soul, that is your connection with God because it is the image of the divine in you.
In order to find God, you need to turn of your 5 senses first, when you do this and retire the energy of your soul from them, your intuition or 6th sense turns on, it is with this sense that God can be found.
Again like Jedi said.

If you really want to find God, don't look for him at a trance party, look for him within you in your soul, he is omnipresent, but inside you is where you'll find him, if you really have a craving for enlightment, then seek a Guru.
A Guru is a person who has reached God already and can guide you towards him, he can be still on this physical plane or not, he will instruct you on meditation techniques that will help you develop your soul faster, but be careful, seek well because there are many fake gurus in this world.
As a final suggestion, if you want to find God, you need to love him, with all your mind, heart, soul and strenght, Love is almighty and it is the strongest attraction force of creation, if there is love in your heart you can invocate the soul of any person or deva, beyond this world, and beyond this life, if you concentrate really hard while on meditation on your loved ones that have passed away and call for them with love you'll feel their energy, and if your spiritual eye is developed enough you'll even see them, the same with people still living in this physical plane or your guru, devas or God himself.
Sanskrit describes exactly this feeling.
Tvayi snihyaami : Mama tvayi aasaktirasti
Which means, There is love in me for you!!!! : my heart burns with desire to see you!!!!!
You might have the strongest meditation technique in the world, but without love and devotion it won't take you nowhere.
The easiest and fastest way to reach God is to love everything and everybody, good or evil in this way, and wish good things for everybody, because God is nothing else but truth and rightneousness!
What is the only thing that you can offer to the lord of the universe, something that he doesn't have yet? your love  but you can't love someone who you don't know, that's what meditation is for

Well, the trough is that I don’t love him at all! not coz iam bad person, no, no.
I would tell him that in his face. But if the ticket to see him is love, then it's piece of cake to do it, as most of this world do coz they afraid of him.
and the funny thing is, many of those prayers don't know what is enegry at all, they read about it only... despite in same time there are some others that never read anything and they have their own ways to this energies.(meditations, trance, dream-awakens state travels, etc...).
I don’t like him coz its not fair what he did in this universe…look what happens in Africa and places that has nature disasters…if he really has the power: then why the fu%$ he doesn’t fix this and finish this night mare.
Just to make a peaceful world with no problem. All be quall. No ugly no stupid, no negativity.
Why did he create negativity??? For fun ha?....he screwed us this way….
We must work hard and meditate or pray in order to get his levels, while he is having fun out their with his massive energies….i mean, common God, send some energies without letting us searching hard for it and fail in troubles sometimes….its not funny, really.

Omg, we are entering into deep and difficult terrain but let's try our best ok?
There is a saying that says, love the sinner but hate the sin, in this world it's all a matter of energies and how you use them, hate can be positive if it gets you away from trouble, which is the case when you are hating sin.
So fight evil, hate it, don't let it get near you, it starts by your thoughts so develop a strong mind by thinking positive things always, if you repeat an idea with strength, like peace, peace, peace, peace or love, love love, love, you are generating a dynamo of energy that will protect you from any negative thoughts, and it will also make you feel good and others surrounding you too, specially those who are sensible and receptive.
Sometimes a bit of self controlled rage it's good to keep evil away, so if you feel temptations or negative thoughts getting near, and you get mad and fight them with positive thoughts it is not rage, it is wisdom.
Also, if someone does evil to you, don't hate him, don't take revenge, but protect yourself, be it by being strong and setting limits, or by removing that person from your life, but send him good energy with your loving thoughts and prayers or meditations.
That's how it works.

It doesn't work like that, God loves everybody the same way, for him there is no difference between ANY of his sons, what happens is that he created a game, a cosmic game, with puzzles, riddles and mysteries to be discovered and solved, and the key to them all is love, but love can't be forced, it has to be born spontaneously, that's why we have free will to seek God or do whatever we want.
God just keeps loving us, hoping that someday we realize that, feel his love and start seeking him.

That's exactly the reason why many people shun religion, and the reason why many people fight for religions believing that their religion is the right one and the rest of the world will go to hell, the fear of God was inspired by man in order to control their faithful, instead of teaching them how to seek God the right way so they could free themselves.

This is true, there is a lot of blind religious followers that just repeat prayers without putting energy in them, but prayers can be very powerful if you put faith on them, and charge them with that energy.
People who have never read anything and have found their ways, is because we are all children of the divine, and we are endowed with intuition to guide us back to him, some people develop this intuition naturally and find ways to connect with spirit, that's exactly how Yoga was born.

This will be really hard to explain but let's try
All these wars and stuff that happen in our world, were created by satan or maia and not by God, we happen to live in the lowest layer of the universe which was Satan's creation.
When God created the Universe, he created an ideational world called the causal plane first, and then a world composed of light and energy called the astral plane, then he asked an angel endowed with creative powers to create the physical plane, that was Satan, the problem is that he got attached to what he created and he decided to have control over it, originally after creating the physical plane, he was supposed to merge again into God's cosmic consciousness, but he refused to do this and created evil and trapped us human beings into the physical plane, so we could enter into a life-death reincarnation cycle, and we would forget about our divine origin as long as a single child of God is trapped into this cycle, satan will continue existing, he lured Adam and Eve (which simbolize the first man and first woman) to misuse their creation powers to create a physical body and join together in sexual intercourse, thus encasing themselves into a body filled with limitations, which will have to face decay with age, which will get sick and will die over time, this is what really happened, and no it wasn't God punishin us, our ancestors decided to do that on their own will.
God could destroy Satan with just one thought, but he respects his free will as he is one of his children too, God does this because he knows that even if for us is really hard at times, nothing is really happening, because we are all inmortal children of him which are just living a cosmic motion picture, but the truth is that our souls are unharmed even if we think they are, it is like when you get burnt in a dream and then you awake and realize this whole time you were dreaming and nothing really happened to you, we might believe this what we are experiencing is real, but God knows better

A game wouldn't be fun if it isn't challening huh? what would be the whole purpose of this game of life if there weren't adversaries to be defeated, puzzles to be solved, obstacles to be avoided, etc, it is a cosmic game that will span millions of lifes, unless you have a really powerful meditation technique such as kriya yoga which gives you the posibility to reach God in one life!

And yet, we have free will to decide if we want that, or we want some more other lifes and continue having fun with playstation 3 in this one, although we could do both things it's perfectly possible.
There are 4 stages of mankind's evolution, we just got into the 2nd one, the stages are.
Kali Yuga or the age of darkness and ignorance, which according to sri yukteswar lasts 1,200 years
Dwapara Yuga, or the age of science and technology our current age, where people is starting to become aware of the subtle energies of this world, like electricity and magnetism.
Treta Yuga or the age of reason, where people becomes aware of the even subtler energies of this universe and starts developing their spiritual powers, until language disappears because telepathy and claryvoyance are fully developed.
Satya Yuga or the spiritual or true age, where every human being has a similar degree of development of Christ, Buddha or Krishna.
When the cycle is completed we get into the descending phase of it, passing through all the eras again but backwards, the whole cycle is called dayva yuga and it lasts 24,000 years, every phase of it, ascending or descending lasts 12,000 years.
That's the reason why many people of this age doesn't believe in spirituality, and we depend more on science and technology, however things are changing fast, now with resources such as wikipedia, people is starting to discover the knowledge written in ancient sanskrit text and we are becoming more aware that there are a lot of things that escape the limited perception of our 5 senses.

Well I also believe that God created this universe to have fun, imagine being the supreme eternal almighty being, with nothing to do and much free time on your hands, you oughta do something!
Finally what you said about the actor, that's what we are, because God is at the same time, the Producer, Director and Actor of this Cosmic motion picture, and we are his children, but as God is omnipresent, we are him too, just dreaming we are human beings, until we attain self realization, and then we'll be consciously acting our divine role until we leave our physical bodies and become Paramuktas.
