psy scene in india is dead
where are the people?? the dj's? the parties??
when r the mod's going to start up the india section? or not at all ?
the goa threads and every thread about india has members fighting between themselves and having aimless off-topic arguments.
the fun is over |

first of all i am not in goa but i wish to give a more "global comment"
it might be slightly off topic but i read that the psy scene in Goa is dead...
now here in belgium they often say this too "goa is dead" but i think it's something deeper then just fingerpointing at the cops...
i will give here the belgian version: someone gives a nice party with international acts and they ask 10 euro's entry... then a bunch of friends decide "oh goa is nice but i want to give it with the real spirit in a forest for free... now though for belgian standards the locations are pretty far from each other it was a drama that they organized it the same day then theother party...
now how is there then supposed to be a free scene if everything has to be "organized in order to meet certain unspoken standards which then change like the wind depending on what/where/when?
i would say "think about this" are organizers a maffia or are they organizers? it is not because for example organizer X does a gig that a group named Y may not organize something and vice versa
that's what kills a scene all the moaning on each other and while they kill each other a real man of the "scene" does not stick to something that he can stand for... so his music preference will change like that i travelled from heavy metal to the early techno to terror/hardcore, to trance to end now with Goa
but if you organizers plan to play the game this way then in two years i will be at another type of music where the spirit stays alive
as goa is not only that music, it's a whole event, and a whole way to be
and when a name is abused then the best thing to do is to burry the name and let it be reborn
or how the myth of the phoenix is applied and how there is a certain logic in this myth
if goa dies out then let it die out
the more stubborn one sticks on a place and concept, the more walls one meets...
so i would say instead of complaining that goa is dead (the place) that it is about time to really think why it got that far and act upon this to avoid this from happening again
there is time to party out loud, but you also have to know the time you have to keep the feet on the ground 
just my thought not sure if it may apply

Ok enough of Goa bashing ...n yes this thread aint goin nowhere ...the energy is in the land and the mind ...the music was also energetic enough ..there were lesser people who could appreciate it ...and thus becoz of the majority commercial kinda crowd the scene was screwed ....n @caco baba ...dont feel jelous coz u couldnt make it this year my brother ..next year both shall go togehter and enerrrrgggiiiizzzzeeee the scene ...Boom shanti till then dont kill me for this

Coz, the psy scene is supposed to be a underground movement. And moreover putting this on a popular public website where millions of non-psy ppl having access to it...is just asking for trouble.
When the moondust festival happened in india...the media went crazy for getting a piece of video footage so tat they can make it the top story. And they infact got a video footage of someother party from the net and broadcasted it on the news.
I dont think several ppl on this forum want themselves to be seen in a video of a party which is running rounds on the net.
Just a concern...nothing more.

keeping that in mind, i did find a clip on isratrance that someone took at the boom that had me in it for like 5-6 seconds dancing my ass off... i thought it was cool!!
its the only picture/video i have of me at the boom!!! |
