ok i have tp post my two cents here...
i heard so much good things about goa gill before i saw him for the 1st time.. that he makes a story and so on...
well for starters his mixing is really bad, but that's no news... and yes it makes a difference, i mean when u are on the dancefloor and he messes up transitions it takes u out of the "trance", which is so important to him.. i mean if u wanna get people in trance u need to learn how to mix properly..
then he plays dark evil stuff for like 16 hours in a row.. no story whatsoever...so if it's ur style that's great but for some people (me included) it doesn't do much to them... although after those 16 hours he played a less twisted style with some killer tracks, but then he went right back the dark stuff..
to his defense i respect him cause he has been around for a long time, and he seems like a pretty chill person, but i just think that he is overhyped in his scene... |

I saw him in Goa in 95-96 season, not seen him since. Of course he was playing off DAT back then.....

Gil Is In INdia Right now with his wife......I talk to him regular,And yes there are many tracks by Gil And his wife they call them selves
(The Nomos) Gil Has a couple of new CDs out released on Sony records last year,
Towards the one and the Digitaria CD on Avatar records,,,,I ahev know Gil For 10 years now and He still rocks a Party ALL NIGHT like No One else and in his own Special way ,If you have the Chance go and Trance with Gil ,Namastae Om Nama Shivia........BOOM |

yeah gil is all over the world
if you are looking for some good party check his
tour dates
During summer he and ariane are mostly in berlin
as their european base
in spring and fall he is back in san francisco area
his original hood
and then during winter for sure on the beach in goa
so really all over also this year there is a extented trip to japan and brazil
so be careful if you are in this countrys

Why bash Skazi in this topic too?
Anyway i have alot of respect for the man.
He seems very interesting and has definitely been around much longer than most of us have.
When i saw him play he ad made a small temple near the mixer with gods statues and incense sticks.Seems very spirituallly inclined
