I'm a little too tired to post properly. I just thought I would start the thread. It was really good to see Astral and Brainlizzard in the crowd! :) Haven't seen you two since Spectra Inertia. Goa Gil is a venerable human being... DJ'ing for 24 hours straight without ever once sounding repetitive. I very much enjoyed his selection of psychonauts for audio goodies. One of my favorite lines from Terrence McKenna, "Reality can therefore be hacked." And nothing like Robert Anton Wilson's self-described windshield-wiper mantra, "Shamadi Shawadi.. Shamadai Shawadi" LOL! :) Sorry if the spelling is wrong on the last bit..
Who else made it to this fantastic event?! I look forward to any other experience accounts. For me it's indescribable. I was slightly sad that it was so short. My first taste of goa party was Solipse in Zambia. Ever since I don't feel I quite get into the right headspace in 24 or 48 hours. Does anyone have tips on maximizing the shorter parties?

It has been a couple of days and still I just smile in amazement at the straight forward driving eternally beautiful energy Gil sets forth in his sets...This man is such a staple in this community and we are fortunate when we have the opportunity to all gather up our collective energies and dance it out with him. I must also say here that equally important for my personal experience is the opening drumming he and Arianne do followed by the deeply stirring tribal images Arianne conjures up in us all with her set!!!
Yes the land was indeed spectacular AND steeped in the energy of many many earlier gatherings that have set the tone for those of us that come now to enjoy awakenings, clearing ourselves and too many other spiritual moments to mention here!!!
I give my thanks to all who came together to make this just the blast off that Kevin ( Brain Lizzard) and i needed....And as always Thank You Gil and Arianne for keeping it real!! We really Love you San Fran family and will make it our priority each year to return for this gathering! |

Oh yeah! It wasn't my intention to exclude Arianne's amazing tribal beats! She throws down an amazing synthesis of indigenous and modern tribal rhythm--blending them all together into a fabulous foot stomping shakedown. Much love to you and Kevin.  ) I never got to mention how much I enjoyed the set he and Kri threw down at Spectra Inertia. Seeing you both again this weekend gave me a tremendous sense of continuity and a feeling of being grounded in a real modern tribal family! |
