Goa Gil's Influences? John Cage? Duchamp?

Hi. I am writing a paper of Goa Gil and need to find out who he was influenced by to make our GoaTrance. I am studying the likes of Cage and Duchamp and i see a crazy correlation between their ideas and Gil's. Every party of Gil's is ritual, comparable to the 'happenings' of artists in the 50s/60s. I would appreciate others thoughts on this!
