I see Goa Gil will be in Tokyo at the end of this month. And I see from his website http://www.goagil.com/ that he's been actively DJing at parties in India, Europe and USA. Does anyone any party reports? |

I've seen him twice already and both times he was amazing! One party was busted by the cops... but the other went on for 10 or so hours. He like to play dark psychedelic music... you can see the style but looking at the charts on his website. His mixing is not that good tho... but I couldn't care less about mixing if the concept of the music is good, which it always is with Goa Gil 
Anyway, don't miss him... you will regret it.

Wow.. Gil is in TOkyo this month? Holy shit!
I have seen him 8 or 9 times in the SF area, but I always fantasized about seeing him in Japan. Can anyone give me more info please? Yes I wish too that it was outdoors, that is where he is at his best, but it is late Nov. (=cold, probably rainy) so I guess thats how it goes. But Im not complaining! Me, I love his morning time stuff the most- he really likes fucking with our heads... and I like it too!

OK thanks for your replies. I'm getting a good idea of the party - a trip through insanity to unsanity and back (to insanity?). I really hope I can make it. He seems like a rather special fellow. |
