wow wow wow
that location is where it all began for me in 2001! for several years, psytrance meant going to Gil twice a year near angels camp. it's going to be special. i'll be at a wedding in los angeles so make a big boOm for me  |

Oooooh yeaah!
I am so excited about the party! The memorial day weekend party my favorite time to go see Gil play....I am especially excited that it is at Angels Camp <3 Such a beautiful and meaningful location for so many reasons!
Cant wait to party with you all on the dance floor.

i have come up with a formula for calculating a rough estimate of how many kicks you hear at the "average" gil party:
160bpm average (he ranges from 148-180 usually) X 60 = 9600 kicks per hour X 24 hours = 230,400 kicks. Breaks in songs where there is no kick at all account for kick rolls, although I imagine with all the 64th note glitch-rolls that Gil plays, the kick rolls end up out-numbering the breaks by a bit. Plus Gil usually plays for a tad longer then 24 hours, therefore I would put my final estimate around 250,000 kicks per Goa Gil Memorial Hoedown Set.
This leaves us with a somewhat-witty catch-phrase:
"We're traveling at 10,000 KPH, cap'n." or somesuch.
