Honestly this just seems like a dick move to the already established event, which btw... has several acts playing that the Gil fans support

NYE is a big party night.

Yes but it is full of "candy ravers" who take the "wrong" drugs and aren't "intelligent" enough to listen to undanceable random noise music
I'm sure both parties did well and were packed.
I would have gone to both but $30 for gil was already pretty hard on my wallet. I even left after less than an hour because I was just too tired 
Oh well, I can go without eating for a few weeks.. |

Paradigm there are lots of people who have no desire to go to a cheesy rave party in a warehouse with maybe one or two real ug psy acts. The tantra party is not a family style event... gil is.
Plus gil had a better soundsystem |

Gil was awful expensive for a "family style" event!
I think if you give a chance, you will find that more events are "family style" than you give credit for. You are just unwilling to add to your family 
Also, since there were, "only one or two" real psy acts, please tell me which of these were "real" psy acts and which weren't:
