i have attended to 2 goa gil parties. the 1st one was ok, had a nice time, and he played some good tunes (2005), and in 2006, i liked best the music in the afternoon, when he mixed some quasar stuff.
honestly he was not what i have seen a lot of people praise about him.he is just a person mixing 24 hours in a row.i respexct what he does, but we have to be the most real possible: he is a person mixing music, and making reference to some holy concepts.
even his last compilation, was not that good also.i have seen better free net releases, made, choosen tracks with better care, that his last one.
nevertheless i totally respect what he is doing, just i am not that "hipnotised"by him.

i feel i must say somthing as a gil fan..
i had a great time every one of the events iv'e been to {about 8}.even if i did not like every single track he was playing.
and i had to be convinced to go for the first time! i was just like all the pepole speaking badly of him here.. i hated dark music with a passion and if u were not spining exactly my style than u are simply a bad dj. that is childish and closed minded.
he may not be the granfather of psy trance..
but he is one of the oldest acts that is still touring, and imo ONE OF the best ones.
so he dosen't beat match boo-hoo
he still playes the most incredible music..
it's all intense and on the dark side of psy,
but that is his journy ,& so many of us like it!!! you don't see us invading your son-kite and logic bomb threads spreading negative vibes!!!
for every frustrated , failed artist/dj that wants to say gil is over-rated there are 10 danceres that will love him for ever!
i respect gil , and i like what he stands for , it feels honest to me.
so.. yea if you have nothing nice to say...

I guess all the Dj's and artists i know are failures then. Also those who play every weekend worldwide - all according to your terms.

ok, the whole failed thing was uncalled for... and not aimed at any one person..
still.. he has his followers.. pepole are coming to the events and having a good time..

Î had some plain and cheap food today while watching some Goa Gil stuff on the internetz. A lasagne mold filled with macarony, sousugas, ham, cream fløte and some spice topped with shitloads of cheese. Now I'm drinking a glass of red wine with a glassof coke on the side.
