Not sure Gil Baba would play Ajja, (or would he?) I love Ajja!! Brilliant!

On to Gil, he definitely likes some west coast scenes, Fractal Cowboys, Quasar, Dylalien, among others. Anf pretty much everyone who is on our VA, Prakriti Engine. ^_^           <<Quantum Frog Productions>> www.quantumfrog.com

His mixes are harmonically well matched, last time i heard him play he also played with cd's. Although i dint hear fancy beat matches the journey/flow aspect was very good. The first tracks were mellow and at the end of the night the tracks kept progressing gave me that set building up like a dance ritual feeling and you could see the same on the dance floor.

+ hes one of those people who might be called a veteran in the scene. He was there when the scene was starting up in Goa and he still shares the same enthusiasm/passion for the scene even today after so many years unlike many others who quit the scene after their glory days.

Looking at a baba with white hair spinning cutting edge psy smiling like a child and dancing passing on great vibes to the dancers is worth a watch.           "Whoever said the best things in life are free... obviously grew their own bud"

my opinion reguarding goa gil ha changed all over the years.
from thinking in a guru or something like that (mainly because of the spiritual mysticism of trance music) i have come to seen him more and more like an ordinaire person.

i still believe he deserves credit for what he does, like how he does, but i think people are over hyping him.he´s just a regular person who spins psystrance, like some many other - well maybe not for so long time, but sincerly, his mixing skills aren´t so top notch.is it becasue he plays the ultra unr killer material from dark psy artists?!

i think people are putting him to high on a pedestal.

isn´t he a regular person?doesn´t he eat?doesn´t he earn money?

ps:no one in the psytrance scene, should be putted on a pedestal, and should be putted on the level of a super star - most of the times it incrises the ego to the point of almost blowing.psytrance doesn´t need this time of sentiments me thinks.though it needs recognition to those who do something productive for the culture.

my humble opinion.          ...

^^ of course they won´t - i don´t make tracks but i liked the way you think

but i don´t catch this hype phenomenon..and considering the remotly chance my music would be played by him, i´m sure i wouldn´t be over hyped and have an inflated ego, just because of that possibilitie.

i would be much more happy and pleased to see the crowd having fun to the music i would make           ...

100% agree with you. But gil stayed in the underground and has been always looking for new sounds (creepy or not)...If his purpose was to become more and more famous and to gain a lot of money, he would have be able to make it for a long time...And easely i think...He's more an alive testimony of the hippy scene from the beginning. That's just normal that people have a lot of consideration for him, That its music is indeed or not. Anyway, it's always funny to see the old baba putting madness sounds.

Well its not hype its just the respect people have for him since hes been in the scene so long passionately for years now.

He was organizing some of early parties in Goa, earned a name, became a sadhu did some yatras, went to the kumb mela, meditating around India. After he got famous still continued the same way, never sold his soul by playing commercial music which could have pulled more people and fame but kept it real by playing psychedelic music he believed in always updated with new sounds.

Hence i think he became an underground revolution with a lot of following.Honestly thought it was all hype too till i attended one of his parties and my opinion changed. This could be personal too as a person who likes cheesy full on might not really dig gil baba as much as i do.

All this + the fact that he plays 24 hours straight some intense energy/mind levels for that age.          "Whoever said the best things in life are free... obviously grew their own bud"

my topic is about another points of pressure, if you allow.

do what you want, say what you say and make 1000 people dance like crazy in the morning, keep pashion and enthusiasm fresh, after you already spinning 10 hours

one year i was on tiesto party - the ultra 'phenomen' dj. after 1.5 hrs i was looking for vodka and mushrooms, to keep my consciousnes undamaged

the phenoma is not about making him something more than he is. because some part of him is quanky old fart

won't we talk about music? leave gil alone

well, sure its cool hes old and all, but there is tons of babas outhere spinning and keeping it real, i mean, thats what its all about in this sceen anyway. Just cuz one guy does it hes "the man the legend" =)
im not throwing shit on him at all, i like what he doing and always been doing. Hes a super killer guy, not turning into vocal homega pop. And have my full respect. But i agree what a3k says.
