Ok i see no one opened a thread yet... So ill go.
Drove all the way from the north for this party... i was originally told it would be 30 minutes northern to tel aviv, but on the day of the party i found out it will be held near sderot. Already bought tickets on presale so i said whatever grabbed some funny friends and off we went.
About the presale, it really sucked you only get the cd in tel aviv, and anywhere else you have to pay for it. for 100 shekels i expect something, a shirt, a sticker, some hair, i dont know... whatever! last year i paid 80 and got a cd, so what the?
ok, so the flyer says NATURE party, and it ended up in a "Gan Eruim" sort of deal, a very nice place to have a wedding at but sorry, it kind of ruined the vibe for me.
the sitting places were neat! but in a party id rather dance 
i talked to this nice girl from the production on the phone and she said that gil will play from 12:00 to 10:00.
so we get to the party at about 12:30 (i wanted to be there for the first track) and i thought wed be late, but it didnt start yet.
at about 1:00 it started... we got in... and the sound system was weak! i was standing with my friend at the middle of the dancefloor (which was partly tiled, another bummer) and talking to him freely. then later on the night the sound improved, but i didnt like the setup... i had to dance near one of the sets so i could hear it properly and i couldnt really see gil from there.
the crowd at the start was pretty scary, serious shimonim but they were nice. at the peak of the night the crowd was pretty mixed up, i saw some funny people, and then at the sunrise scary people again!!!
the place was steaming hot, the air wasnt moving and gil's selection of 150 bpm tracks didnt cool up the night either... so i ended up sweating like richard simons on e and so did other people, which caused alot of the wrong people to take their shirt off and sweat on other people, thank you, you know who you are.
there were these light posts on the dancefloor which killed the vibe for me too... i mean i was looking up through the trees to look at the moon and i feel like im in a wedding with my family, blinded by purple and yellow spot lights.
so then at about 8 gil stops playing, the whole crowd is shouting "more more!" and he plays another track which afterwards hes packing his gear and about to leave. no one from the production was in sight, and it ended! just like that!!!
i was expecting a much much longer experience, at least the promised ten hours!
the vibe was just missing from this party and i dont mean to diss but the production had some major flaws and (the way i see it) didnt care much for the ravers, just their money.
very dissapointing for me!
so then we went to the beach and it was nice... if it wasnt for my flipped friends i would really be eating my heart out on this party.
the dolphin had a good time though... and did i mention the nice sitting places?

If you call mixing playing track A after track B stops so yeah he was pulling some nice dat skillz...
But seriously there were some beatmatching going on here and there, not too often.

Ya I went to....came there about 1 am...at first was weak...but then it kicked it and was alright...
then my friend passed-out (ya sorry about that, I told her not to inhale the baloon, she didn't listen) and the night pretty much ended for her....I danced a little more and we left at about 7:30 am...
overoll was an alright party... a really long drive which I didn't like, sound wasn't any good and no mixing...lots of f*ck ups by goa gil... |
