Alright, I've been trying for some time now to create an aggressive goa bassline but due to my limited knowledge of music theory I don't know how to arrange the notes. I'm trying to create something like the bassline in "Zero" by Astral Projection. I want to use this track as a learning template to write my own basslines from. If anyone could tell me the pattern/arrangements of the notes for this bassline and how to write it in a music sequencer (FL Studio), I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hm..first make clear you choswe the right tempo..then tweak a similar bass and experiment with the notes on basic 16th..
cannot tell you the exact notes..
try to timestrech a 4bar loop or something where just the kick/bass are playing and rebuild the notes for example..

Junosis. Sorry can't help you more then saying melodyne is the key.
I have some Astral midi but not for Zero, sorry. They use as Zork said, basic 16th notes. Pretty much on every Lead and Bassline. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's the midi I have from Imitations sounding the same.

In logic pro 8 there is also a function that will analyse a peace of audio and write the rythm and notes to a selected midi-track or VI-track. It works, but it doesn't work wonders, the rythm is usually a little screwed and a few of the tones are wrong, but it is easy to correct this. Anyways, if you want to try and recreate something that you know, then you should try using your own ears! It's really not that difficult, and also deciphering a rythm will be easier if you practice slapping a random rythm with one hand while keeping a strict 4/4 Rythm with the other hand. |

1+ and i don`t like the bassline at all..so why should i?
Logics audio to midi just works monophonc right?but melodyne can convert polyphonic audio to midi..
you could try that but i think its easier to do it by ears..just count how many notes are played inbetween the two kicks and then go on and try them out..i think it was more notes than just 3 or 4 so i guess it will be 32th notes..but your tempo has to be right otherwise you won`t really hear the notes..
good luck!
