Contrary to what the general consensus is on forums (including this one) psy-trance is alive and kicking in Goa.
Great parties, great vibe, up for it people, hard, twisted music, almost no cheese, almost no music from what is sporting the Beatport's "psy-trance chart" and the amazing energy is overwhelming.
Freedom, beauty, slamming music, blasting parties.
This is what happens in the real world.
Before you carry on posting on "psytrance-is-dead-like" threads in the virtual world, think about booking your tickets to Goa next season.
This place still is the mecca of psy-trance (imo) and its like all the best things I have experienced in the 19 years of partying, put together in one of the most beautiful places in the world, where people would rather be happy, than whine and bitch about everything.

Thanks for the review Nectarios, feel free to write a little more, 'cos there are us with the small children out there that can make it to Goa, at least this year

it might be still good but you dont know how it was there in the early 90s or even before that, since the 70s.
from what friends told me how it was in the past and how it is now...but for us that was not there it s still probably really great. |

one of my good mates I know for decades came back 98 after half year of India and told me in Goa it has all changed and got totaly commercialized he told me like you cannot find that old vibe anymore. He went there a few times before.
It is good to read this all.. I will go there someday no matter if it changed or not but that sounds promising.
I heard from another mate he was there a few years ago, that it is hard to find a goa party.. he was anjuna beach etc told me all is much more expensive than anywhere else there and it is made for tourists etc..
I wonder how your life set was Nectarios. Did you record it sth like Martian Arts Life in Goa ? would be great to hear it.

Anjuna and Vagator are busy places, I live over the Chapora river in Morjim which is brilliant, as is Arambol, Assagao, Mandrem...much more quiet, less people.
Shiva Valley party with Tristan and Nigel was slammin...like 2000 people till early morning hours and yesterday I went to the Lotus Inn party which was rammed with Tristan, Nigel and Laughing Buddha.
There is a party here almost every night...I am sure its not like it used to be when not so many tourists where in Goa, but all I can say is that it is pretty fucking amazing this year.
The energy of the place alone, is a mind/heart opener. People here smile and are generally happy...how can they not be...this positive vibe translates in the dancefloor where everyone is stomping the ground like its the last night of their lives.
