no offence to anyone here but Goa really isint the same as it used to be!!
your better off going to gokarna or even to himachal pradesh (Kasol) and do a scene by yourself which is for sure safe and involves beautiful nature around! |

Can you name anything at all that _is_ the same as it used to be? 
The question was about the actions of the local authorities - are they prohibiting/limiting "party activities" or not? If yes, how? |

Rent a bike... fill it up... and take off in any direction you like... goa has some really awesome roads to just tune off into!

epic party at primrose on sept 24th by vantara vichitra records...brilliant decor and eargasmic music...from start to last awesum music party started at 2 in the afternoon and went on till next day morning 6. 30 in the morning....kerlivin was just amazing... very good sound system..and for sure some eyegasmic decor..very good energy killer artists...woot woot goa is on!!!!

I'm living in Africa August 2010 through Sept / November 2012. Afterwards, I'm going to be leaving with a decent amount of travel money. So, I'm thinking of traveling to Goa during December / Jan / Feb.
It seems like a pilgrimage that every psytrancer has to make (at least to me) to go to Goa / trance around in India. I've always wanted to visit India anyway - since I grew up around a lot of Indian friends in the US. Some questions:
And please - I've been on this forum for quite some time and I've seen all the BS that comes with it - at least do your best to not troll [unless you're Jacynth who has a fairly good opinion of Goa, I believe]. If you're going to write "Goa sucks - It was best in 1995" or "Goa is amazing." - Please at least write why it is or is not good now and whether or not it is still worth it to go [psy party wise] and do note that it will never be 1995 again so get over it.
How is the party scene now? Best month to go? Where to stay - towns/cities? I saw a lot of Parvati parties going off last year.. which I love Parvati, is that normal? I saw people posting that this past season was great.. What did you think if you went last season?
Also, I fear I will be traveling alone since I've never met anyone outside of trance parties that likes/can tolerate psytrance.. which I'm a bit nervous about. Is it easy to meet cool people traveling alone [in Goa or elsewhere]? Have you ever traveled alone? Any tips or suggestions?
If I should post this somewhere else please let me know.. I might post something similar in the Trance forum or Triplag- about other countries as I am debating where to travel in the world to see cool things and mainly to see different parties.

jan feb march is the best time to go ..
try and stay in chapora / anjuna or morjim
you should catch a few parties and meet interesting ppl ...
last jan feb and march there were many parties ..
